Former HADES Guitarist Continues Work On Solo CD
December 18, 2003Former HADES guitarist Dan Lorenzo has sent us the following update on the recording progress of his upcoming solo CD:
"Last Sunday while it was snowing in Jersey, I was at Crystal Studios and recorded 6 more songs for my upcoming solo CD. If you go to www.DanLorenzo.net you can listen to two rough mixes, 'Frozen Planet' and 'Dan Zig Hates X-Mas'. Johnny Milnes played drums. Former HADES drummer Ron Lipnicki couldn't get to the studio because of the snow, but I'm recording 5 more songs with him soon (including 'Hotter Than Hell' by KISS) and then the CD will be finished. Jimmy Schulman played bass on 'Frozen Planet' and I played bass on the rest. Alan Tecchio (NON-FICTION, HADES, WATCHTOWER) is going to sing on one of the songs Ron plays on. I'm going to finish mixing the CD in early January and release it right away. I'm losing sleep because I'm so jazzed about singing lead for the first time plus I'm going to have a 15-song CD that I only had 2 band rehearsals for. Jim Florentine from CRANK YANKERS may also make an appearance on the disc I'm calling Dan Lorenzo 'Cassius King'. It should be out no later than the first week in February and will initially only be available via my website."
